In 1949, he began his training in thoracic surgery with Prof. Mario Brea at the Clinical Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine of Buenos Aires, which he completed in 1950 in the United States, during his stay in various surgical centers.

In 1951 he entered the Italian Hospital, where in 1953 he was appointed Head of the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Service.
