Prof. Dr. Juan Pablo Recagno Cepeda

​He was born in Rosario on August 24, 1921. During his primary and secondary studies was the best bachelor who has completed all secondary school studies and justiciamente the direction of the school records the exceptional value of this student, who from the 1st Grade up to the 5th national year was honored for 11 years.

He began his studies in the Faculty of Medicine of Rosario where he was received of doctor the 9 of April of 1945, realizing the specialty of neurosurgery. He completed advanced studies at the Central Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuropathology of Chile

In May 1956 he was appointed emeritus member of the Argentine Association of Surgery.

He was Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Service of the Marcelino Freire Hospital until his transfer to PAMI and Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Service of the Spanish Hospital de Rosario from 1977 until his retirement.

Great executioner of projects, his performance at the head of the deanery of the Faculty of Medical Sciences was characterized by its dynamism and efficient administrative management. Within this, in 1975, he promoted the idea of ​​a foundation that would support the teaching, care and scientific activities of the house of high studies, which took shape in April 1977.

He passed away on May 30, 2011 in our city.
